Service conditions of Polytechnic teaching and non teaching staff are governed by the provisions of Maharashtra Employees of Private School Act 1977 (MEPS Act in short). ह्या MEPS Act च्या “Schedule C” मध्ये कर्मचाऱ्यांना देय असणाऱ्या वेतनश्रेणीचा उल्लेख असतो. पॉलीटेक्निकच्या प्राध्यापकांच्या पे स्केलचा सध्या  MEPS Act च्या “Schedule C” मध्ये उल्लेख नाही. त्या ऐवजी महाराष्ट्र शासनाने वेळोवळी शासकीय आदेश (GR) निर्गमित करून पॉलीटेक्निकच्या प्राध्यापकांची पे स्केल निर्धारित केलेली आहेत.  दि. १४ जून २०२२ रोजी न्या. शुक्रे व न्या. सानप ह्यांच्यासमोर चार वेगवेळ्या मॅटर्सची सुनावणी झाली, ज्या मध्ये पॉलीटेक्निकच्या प्राध्यापकांची दोन मॅटर्स होती....

Decide on payment of salary in private engineering colleges: Supreme Court to AICTE The Supreme Court today directed the technical education regulator AICTE to decide the issue of regularising and ensuring timely payment of salaries to staffers in all private engineering colleges in the country. A bench of Chief Justice J S Khehar and Justice D Y Chandrachud disposed of the petition that had raised the issue of non-payment of salaries to the staff in these colleges and asked the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to treat it as a representation.
